Meet the Maker

Hi! I’m Carrie, the color obsessed maker of all things 4MamaBearMade. These two hands rarely sit idle. If I’m sitting I’m probably knitting. I also sew and crochet, but what I love to most of all is design new patterns and new products. I’ve been self-employed for 12 years as a book designer and love the variety that fiber arts adds to my day. You can read more about my maker journey here. My Knit Patterns

Fun fact: The year I learned to knit (2018) I never made the same hat twice. Every single one was a different color or stitch combo. Eventually I started to take notes & studied what a well written pattern looked like. I learned a lot that first year after making over 300 hats.

Colorwork patterns can be intimidating, but don’t let that stop you from trying one of my patterns! I write them to be beginner friendly. These are great stash busters and sell like hotcakes at craft shows - not to mention they are quite comfy! My girls and I wear our 4MamaBearMade hats all winter long!
